Position Overview:
Coram Deo School in Huntsville, Alabama, is seeking a Christ-centered and classically trained or trainable educator to teach a combined 3rd and 4th grade class. This unique role requires a teacher who brings both instructional creativity and spiritual maturity to the classroom. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a combined 3rd–4th grade classroom with grace, clarity, and joyful discipline
• Provide instruction in reading comprehension, cursive writing, grammar, arithmetic, Bible, Latin, and history using classical methods
• Adapt lessons to meet the developmental needs of two closely related grade levels while maintaining a unified classroom environment
• Integrate Scripture and a biblical worldview across all subjects and routines
• Foster a culture of wonder, diligence, and delight in learning
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents to encourage partnership in their child’s growth
• Participate in faculty fellowship, prayer, and ongoing classical education training
• Collaborate with fellow faculty in curriculum development and the shaping of school life and routines

Qualifications:

• A mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ; agreement with the school’s statement of faith
• A clear calling to teach and disciple children within a classical Christian framework
• Bachelor’s degree required (education or humanities preferred); teaching experience strongly valued, especially in multi-age settings
• A heart for joyful discipline and strong classroom management
• Flexibility, creativity, and a pioneering spirit suited to a start-up environment
• Active membership in a local, Bible-believing church

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with classical curricula and methods (e.g., Latin, narration, grammar-stage memory work)
• Experience teaching in a combined or multi-age classroom
