The Head of School will serve as the Chief Executive Officer of Highland Rim Academy, reporting directly to the board of directors of Seek Ye First Ministries. This position is currently available beginning in the 2025-26 school year.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAITS

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

• Master’s degree or higher
• Knowledge of classical Christian school models as well as classroom teaching or school administrative experience

RESPECT FOR HRA’S MISSION AND TRADITIONS

• A commitment to understanding and maintaining HRA’s vision as well as its foundation in classical education through the grammar, logic, and rhetoric stages

STRATEGIC MINDSET

• Rooted in classical Christian principles
• Able to translate vision into actionable long-term plans
• A proven and effective record of strategic planning
• Communicate in a clear, direct, and winsome manner

CONFLICT RESOLUTION

• Ability to mediate and resolve conflicts in a timely and God-honoring manner among students, faculty, staff, and parents
• A commitment to shepherd students toward joyful obedience and biblical principles

CHARACTER-DRIVEN INFLUENCE

• Leads in a motivating and relational manner, with integrity
• Unites faculty, staff, students, and families around a shared calling and culture
• Private and public conduct exemplifies biblical principles

BOARD PARTNERSHIP & GOVERNANCE UNDERSTANDING

• Works in collaboration with the board under the Policy Governance model to pursue short and long-term goals
• Communicates with the board through regular updates, gives recommendations on new board members, and works with the board on strategic planning

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

• Confident in overseeing school finances including fund accounting, budget preparation, and budget management
• Ability to work with the Director of Advancement to cultivate new donors and inspire and maintain relationships with current donors

SERVANT LEADERSHIP

• Equips and supports others to use their gifts effectively through respect, consideration, and  simple encouragement
• Fosters a collaborative environment while learning from and listening to those they lead
