Competing Like the King

A Holistic Vision for Athletics Under the Kingship of Christ

More often than not, “Christian” athletics boils down to a few religious platitudes sprinkled over a secular narrative. Is there a way to reclaim the competitive arena as a place of Christ-like formation where our hearts move toward the person of Jesus? What if the primary purpose of competition was to participate in the life of Jesus and become more free and alive in the Kingdom of God? This workshop addresses these questions and will give schools a practical vision of how the kingship of Christ lies at the heart of athletic competition.
