Secondary School Science and Math Instructor

Position Description

Main Objective:

To inspire students with a science and math education that leads them to love learning,
grow in science and math proficiency, and experience the beauty and order of God’s
creation

Main Responsibilities:

1. Provide science (or math) instruction in accordance with the school’s classical philosophy of
education and pedagogy inspired by Charlotte Mason
2. Teach middle and high school courses such as biology, physics, and chemistry (or Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus, etc.)
3. Able to teach a middle or high school math course
4. Provide hands-on experiments and lab-based lessons
5. Manage lab supplies and inventory
6. Teach a robotics elective
7. Lead the after-school STEM club
8. Help students grow in habits of mind, heart, and body
9. Foster positive and collaborative relationships with students and parents
10. Attend staff meetings and training days
