Lower School Teacher

Position Description

Position Description:  Bede Hall Classical Christian School (BHCCS) invites applications for a lower school teacher.  The lower school teacher is responsible for maintaining an orderly and joyful environment in which students have the opportunity to grow spiritually, academically, and socially.  The teacher shall prayerfully help students learn behaviors, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God.

Work Expectations

• Full-time faculty position.
• Participation in faculty meetings, professional development, retreats, and graduation.
• Occasional evening commitments (parent meetings, open house, school events).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
•  An affinity for teaching and whole-heartedly embracing BHCCS’s Christ-centered, academically focused mission.
• Affirmation of BHCCS’s statement of faith and other covenants.
• Commitment to classical Christian education.
• A strong desire to grow intellectually and spiritually through a commitment to lifelong learning.
  Preference will be given to teachers with prior experience as classical Christian educators.
