Heritage Oak School (CA)

Heritage Oak was founded in 1994 as a ministry of Country Oaks Baptist Church and transitioned to classical education in 1998.

The mission of Heritage Oak School is to serve Christian families and their children by discipling passionate hearts and strong minds to be ALL for Christ; to: Adore Jesus first and foremost by honoring Him and nurturing a Godly character, learn to know God’s Word and His Creation, growing in knowledge and wisdom while thinking clearly with discernment, love Jesus by serving others and influencing the world with the gospel.

Heritage Oak is known for its academic excellence and commitment to Biblical truth and values.

Heritage Oak is a rural school located in the mountains of Southern California in Kern County. Tehachapi is fortunate to have a lower than average cost of living than most of California without sacrificing some of the wonderful benefits. Our area is growing and was recently mentioned in a couple of publications as being one of the top places to live in the United States to work from home due to its proximity to amenities the state has to offer (beach, snow skiing, medical services, etc.). Many families are employed in the aerospace industry or serve at Edwards Air Force Base.
