Job Description: Headmaster of Kairos Classical Christian Academy

Position Title: Headmaster

Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $50,000 – $80,000+ annually

Reports To: Board of Trustees

Overview

Kairos Classical Christian Academy is a new private Christian classical school dedicated to providing an education that nurtures the intellectual, moral, and spiritual growth of our students. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Headmaster to lead our institution with a commitment to academic excellence, Christian values, and classical education principles.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Vision:
·      Provide strategic leadership in developing and implementing the school’s mission, vision, and goals.
·      Foster a school culture that emphasizes academic excellence, character development, and a deep commitment to Christian faith.
·      Lead the school community in embracing and integrating classical education methodologies.

Administration and Management:
·      Oversee the daily operations of the school, including academic programs, extracurricular activities, and administrative functions.
·      Develop and manage the school’s budget, ensuring financial health and sustainability, and leading fundraising efforts to support the school’s mission.
·      Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
·      Lead the recruitment, development, and retention of high-quality faculty and staff.

Academic Oversight:
·      Ensure the delivery of a rigorous and coherent classical curriculum that aligns with the school’s mission.
·      Promote continuous improvement in teaching and learning through professional development and instructional support.
·      Monitor and evaluate academic performance, implementing strategies for student success.

Spiritual Leadership:
·      Uphold and promote the Christian ethos of the school in all aspects of school life.
·      Provide Christ-centered spiritual guidance and support to students, faculty, and staff.
·      Encourage and facilitate regular chapel services, prayer, and other spiritual activities.

Community Engagement:
·      Serve as the primary representative of the school to parents, donors, and the broader community.
·      Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
·      Lead efforts in student recruitment and enrollment, ensuring the school’s growth and vitality.

Qualifications

·      A strong personal commitment to Christian faith, Kairos Classical Christian Academy’s statement of faith, and the mission of classical Christian education.
·      A master’s degree in education, administration, or a related field (doctorate preferred).
·      A minimum of five years of leadership experience in an educational setting, preferably in a private or faith-based school.
·      Demonstrated expertise in classical education principles and practices.
·      Excellent organizational, managerial, and interpersonal skills.
·      Proven ability to lead and inspire faculty, staff, students, and parents.
·      Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.

Preferred Attributes

·      Experience in fundraising and development.
·      Ability to engage with and utilize modern educational technology.
·      A collaborative and welcoming leadership style.
·      Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
·      Classroom teaching experience preferred.
