K-3 Classroom Teachers (Collaborative Model)

Position Description

We are seeking classroom teachers who exemplify Christ-like behavior and joy in all they do; are passionate about classical Christian education; take initiative to fill the needs around them; and demonstrate a love of wisdom and truth.

Spiritual Qualifications:

• Disciple of Jesus Christ, adhering to a signed Statement of Faith
• Active member of a local church affirming and practicing one of the Confessions from our “Book of Confessions”

Professional Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in education)
• Experience in classroom settings preferred, but not required
• Strong oral and written skills, and excellent organizational skills
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn about the classical Christian education model, enthusiasm for continuing professional development, and a love of learning
• Desire to work with parents as they train and educate their children
• A love for children and a desire to see them grow as disciples of Christ

Job Requirements Include:

• In-person instruction on campus on Mondays and Wednesdays (school hours will run from approximately 8:00 am – 3:30 pm)
• Respond to questions from parents on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, as needed
• Plan all weekly assignments and classroom activities (and submit for administrative
  review and approval), including detailing assignment sheet for at-home days
• Attend staff meetings and trainings
• Provide an orderly teaching environment by consistently enforcing classroom rules and school policies in a loving and firm matter

Salary and Benefits:

• Salaried position for employment from August 2024 through May 2025 (email [email protected] for salary details)
• Part-time schedule: Approximately 16 hours on-campus on Mondays and Wednesdays (and additional time as necessary for staff meetings and trainings), plus 2 – 4 hours off
  campus for preparing lessons and assignments, and grading
