Position Description

Redeemer Classical School is a Christ-centered, classical school serving families in the Fayette and Coweta County area of south metro Atlanta. We desire to partner with families in equipping our students to love and discern the true, good, and beautiful for joyful and faithful living to the glory of God.

While reporting to the RCS Head of School, the Director of Development will look to grow relationships to increase giving. Doing this through regular meetings with others and building out a comprehensive, sustainable development program to fuel Redeemer’s continued growth.

A successful director will be a highly relational fundraiser with the capacity to foster transformational donor relationships, build and grow a comprehensive development function, and ultimately usher RCS into its next chapter of growth. Responsibilities
• Cultivate relationships with donors, connectors, and parents to advance the school’s mission
• Oversee a yearly Annual Fund campaign that encourages the school community to give and expands the network of supporters beyond the immediate school community.
• Schedule and host meetings with key donors to strengthen engagement and financial support
• Manage donor acknowledgment and recognition processes, including thank-you letters and special acknowledgments
• Create and lead the planning, promotion, and execution of fundraising events
• Implement a donor engagement plan, ensuring personalized communication and follow-ups
• Communicating and coordinating the Development Plan and development activities with the Board
• Create and manage relationships with corporations, foundations and grant-giving entities

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong and proven interpersonal skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong time management and work prioritization skills
• Strong competence in self-awareness and the awareness of others
• Strong active listening skills
• Strong follow through on commitments in a timely manner
• Proficient in applicable computer programs and office tasks
• Ability to always maintain composure and professionalism
• Competency in current Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to learn web-based, cloud-based software such as Microsoft SharePoint
• Bachelor’s Degree
