Position Description
Core Responsibilities
Map course objectives on an annual academic calendar.
Submit weekly lesson plans to the Head of School.
Teach with a biblical worldview; foster students’ spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental maturity; teach with a trivium-focused approach.
Create examinations that assess mastery of grammar, logic, and rhetoric skills; use curriculum as a tool (not a system).
Maintain a well-disciplined classroom and follow the school handbook in classroom discipleship.
Grade homework/exams.
Communicate with parents regarding student successes/failures.
Communicate ongoing discipline/academic concerns to the Head of School/designee.
Attend faculty training, teacher meetings, summer training, and required school events.
Qualifications & Faith Commitments
Must be a professing Christian who knows the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior.
Must model Christian virtue and personal decorum.
Must faithfully attend and financially support a local church aligned with the Apostles’ Creed.
Must teach under the governance of the school handbook and in line with the school’s Statement of Faith.
Must maintain confidentiality regarding student, family, and school information.
Must agree to “above reproach” conduct and professionalism standards.
Contract Term, Compensation, and Benefits
Compensation: determined by qualifications and experience.
