Summary

Liberty Classical Academy is a Christian, classical Preschool-12th grade private school with two locations in White Bear Lake and Hugo, MN, and we are adding to our tremendous team of experienced and talented teachers! We are accepting applications for a part-time Science Teacher with the possibility of full-time beginning in the fall of 2025.

Job Description

The science teacher is responsible for overseeing all areas of the science and laboratory classroom in accordance with safety standards. This position requires attention to detail and instruction for student learning in both classroom and laboratory settings. The science teacher is responsible for working alongside the science department teachers, department head, and administrative team to meet Liberty Classical Academy’s teaching standards.

Responsibilities

·         Plan and prepare well-structured, clearly presented lessons appropriate to the abilities of all students and the syllabus being taught

·         Plan, prepare, and execute well-structured, clearly executed lab experiments

·         Generate enthusiasm for the subject being taught and inspire all students to work to their potential

·         Promote high standards of behavior by encouraging a positive, proactive approach to study and build productive relationships with students

·         Keep accurate records of grades and attendance in accordance with school policy

·         Learn and use classical methods of teaching and integrate Christian worldview in all lessons

·         Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff

·         Prepare students for higher level science classes including college level courses

·         Encourage high standards in all aspects of school life, particularly in student progress

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a science related field required

Master’s degree preferred
