Head of School
Position Description
Morning Star Academy seeks a mission-driven Head of School who is passionate about classical Christian education and committed to the formation of young people in wisdom, virtue, and academic excellence.
This role is ideal for an experienced educator who loves the classroom, believes deeply in the classical model of education, and is eager to help cultivate a thriving community of teachers, students, and families pursuing truth, goodness, and beauty under the lordship of Christ.
Working closely with the Headmaster, the Head of School provides leadership in the daily life of the school—supporting faculty, strengthening academic programs, mentoring teachers, and helping ensure that the mission and distinctives of Morning Star Academy are faithfully lived out in every classroom and activity.
The Opportunity
Now in our 32nd year, Morning Star Academy is an established classical Christian school committed to partnering with parents to educate and disciple students through a rich, time-tested approach to learning. Our teachers and leaders believe education is not merely the transmission of information but the formation of souls.
The Head of School will play a central role in shaping the culture and academic life of the school by:
• Encouraging and mentoring teachers in the craft of classical teaching
• Strengthening the school’s academic programs and curriculum
• Supporting the daily operations and leadership of the school
• Partnering with families in the formation of students’ character and intellect
• Helping cultivate a joyful and unified Christian school community
The Head of School reports to the Headmaster.

• An experienced educator who understands the life of the classroom
• A leader who enjoys mentoring teachers and cultivating excellence
• A wise and gracious communicator who builds trust with parents and staff
• Organized, thoughtful, and capable of helping manage the daily rhythms of school life
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in education or a related field preferred
• Experience as a classroom teacher
• Leadership experience in a Christian school preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of classical education philosophy and practice
