Band Director – Long Term Sub (March – May 2026)

Position Description

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Long-Term Substitute Band Director to teach in our music department while our regular Band Director is on leave. The substitute will lead our band program for grades 5-12, following established lesson plans and upholding our Regent’s mission. This role includes overseeing spring concerts and competitions. The ideal candidate will support a respectful and Christ-centered classroom culture, fostering students’ growth both personally and spiritually.

• Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruction and Rehearsal: Deliver band instruction and facilitate rehearsals for all grade levels, executing lesson plans left by the Band Director and ensuring continuity of instruction.
  • Event Preparation: Prepare students for end-of-year performances, trips, and service projects
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with Fine Arts administration, music department, and faculty.
  • Parent and Community Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, upcoming events, and participation requirements.
