Position Description

The Rafiki Foundation has built 10 Villages across Africa that are focused
on delivering Reformed Classical Christian education to Africa’s next
generation. Each of our Villages is equipped with a teachers college.
The Rafiki Institute of Classical Education (RICE) is a complete teachers
training institution for aspiring African educators. Students undergo
a rigorous education in biblical studies, theology, history, literature,
science, mathematics, pedagogy, and more. We are looking for educators
who feel called to be academic deans of these institutions. It would be
your role to lead in the education of these students by facilitating learning
of our curriculum and leading them through the biblical and theological
courses. These positions are a minimum of 1 or 2 years in one of our
African Villages.

Live on-site at one of our Villages– Conduct all schooling in English– Established, well-constructed, and fully equipped schools

Safe, clean, and comfortable on-site housing, including meals

Use of Rafiki’s scripted, well-developed curriculum– Work day to day with students at the Rafiki Institute of Classical Education and nurture them through their learning journey.
Requirements

Requirements

·         A follower of Christ whose life exhibits the good works and fruit of the spirit which accompany salvation

·         At least a master’s degree in an education-related field and passion for classical learning

·         A willingness to raise funds and teach/train in any one of Rafiki’s ten schools

·         The successful completion of missionary training at the Rafiki Home Office in Eustis, Florida

·         Agreement with Rafiki’s Missionary “I Wills” and Statement of Faith

Preferred Experience

·         Teaching experience in a classical Christian school
