Middle School & High School Math & Science Teacher

Position Type: Full-Time
Grade Levels: Middle School & High School
Start Date: Fall 2026
Location: Trinity Classical Christian School, American Falls, ID
Reports to: Head of School

Responsibilities

1. Teach middle school and high school mathematics, including courses up through advanced math and calculus, and biblical finance
2. Teach middle and high school science courses as assigned (e.g., general science, biology, physical science, chemistry, or physics, depending on qualifications)
3. Assess student learning and provide timely feedback to students and parents
4. Communicate effectively with parents regarding grades and student progress
5. Communicate effectively with the Head of School regarding student academic and behavioral concerns
6. Create and conduct labs for science cores
7. Uphold the school’s mission, values, and Statement of Faith as detailed in the Family and Faculty Handbooks

Qualifications

1. Must be a professing Christian and growing in Christ-likeness
2. Teach from a biblical Christian worldview
3. Must faithfully attend a local church aligned with the Apostles’ Creed
4. Must agree to “above reproach” conduct and professionalism standards
5. Strong classroom management and communication skills
6. Strong content knowledge in mathematics through calculus
7. Competency to teach middle and high school science
8. Experience teaching middle school and/or high school students
9. Familiarity with Saxon Math curriculum (preferred but not required)
10. Must maintain confidentiality regarding student, family, and school information

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, science, education, or a related field (preferred but not required)
Prior teaching experience in a classical, Christian, or traditional academic setting (preferred but not required)

Contract Term, Compensation, and Benefits
Contract Term: Full academic year (renewable annually)
Compensation: Determined by qualifications and experience
Benefits include: Standard school holidays (including Christmas break and Easter Monday)
