The Importance of Basilicas: Why Including Art History Matters
The beauty of the world can be seen in nature but is mimicked in manmade creations. Not only is it a biblical command and God ordained desire for men to create, but it also deepens and preserves the history and culture of times past. And while time may not be on your side in the classroom, that doesn’t mean art is to be glazed over or dismissed. How do you make it all fit? When we see the value of preservation and representation in art history, you can’t help but share it. This workshop is that. The sharing of its value and ideas on how to make it fit for you.
Sarah Hadley has been teaching for the last fifteen years. She has taught homeschool, in a brick-and-mortar school and through Kepler online. Mrs. Hadley worked hard building a curriculum at Trinitas Christian School in Pensacola to create a hands-on learning experience and to foster a love of learning in lower grades to include exposing young students to great works of art. Her love for literature and visual arts inspired a return to the classroom over recent years in which she has worked to earn a master’s in liberal arts with a focus in art history. She and her husband have four children and enjoy fostering a love of reading, wonder, and adventure in each of them.
