Lower School Teacher

Position Description

New Covenant School (Anderson, SC) is accepting applications for lower school teachers (K5-5th).

A New Covenant Lower School teacher will be familiar with the early years of education and enjoy using their skills to create an engaging, hands-on classroom where students can pursue learning a variety of content including:

• Literary inquiry through novel studies like The Wind in the Willows, Robin    Hood, Adam of the Road, The Door in the Wall, Treasure Island and other classic literature
• Early discovery of the natural world including Zoology, Biology, and Astronomy
• Nature Study
• Timeline-approach to teaching History
• Early stages of Latin
• Grammar and Writing
• Artists, poets, and composers
• The practice of Narration

Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree, a passion for teaching, a love for students, and demonstrate a clear commitment to our mission and distinctives– Classical, Christian, Covenantal.
