7th Grade Humanities Teacher (part-time)
Position Description
At Grace Point Academy, we are passionate about providing a Christ-centered learning environment where students will develop life-changing relationships with Jesus, while acquiring the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve academic excellence.
Our vision is to be a full Kindergarten through 12th grade, private Classical Christian school in beautiful Enumclaw. We are looking for talented educators who love Jesus and children, are passionate about the Truth, are called to teach and who have a desire to teach a Classical Christian curriculum.
We are conducting a search for a mission-aligned 7th Grade Humanities Teacher. New teaching positions would start August 11, 2025. This is a part-time position.
All Teachers will report directly to the Head of School.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Head of School to support and implement the values and mission of Grace Point Academy.
- Foster and facilitate a distinctly Christian and Classical school culture.
- Work with the Head of School to implement the Hillsdale Classical Curriculum model with fidelity.
- Participate in all professional development and be an eager learner.
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Have an inviting classroom for volunteers and scheduled visitations.
- Have a commitment and mind-set that ALL students can be successful.
- Manage all disciplinary matters involving students and work closely with the Head of School in the event of an escalation of any issues.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Serve as the spiritual leader in the classroom, be a model of Godly character and conduct, to students, parents, and staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Hillsdale classical schools are defined by the following characteristics:

Prospective teachers should possess a mature faith and relationship with Jesus, a strong academic background, good character, a passion for learning, and a desire to educate the next generation of citizens. Experience with classical education is preferred. Successful candidates will be committed to learning and practicing the culture, curriculum, and instructional methods of Grace Point Academy.

Position Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and engaging Humanities teacher to lead our 7th-grade students through the study of literature, history, and geography, with a focus on the development of critical thinking skills, writing, and the integration of Christian perspectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons in alignment with our classical Christian curriculum, fostering a love for learning, and encouraging students to grow in their faith.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach 7th-grade Humanities, including literature, history, and geography, using the Hillsdale Classical curriculum scope and sequence.
- Implement lesson plans from Hillsdale curriculum that integrate classical literature, history, and biblical principles.
- Cultivate a classroom environment that is engaging, respectful, and spiritually nurturing.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to both students and parents.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members to integrate cross-curricular lessons and promote a cohesive educational experience.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development.
- Serve as a mentor to students, helping them grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
