Kenai Classical School

Alaska

Position Description

Grammar School Teacher: Are you ready to embark on an exciting teaching adventure in one of Alaska’s most picturesque towns? Kenai Classical School is on the lookout for a passionate full-time Grammar School Instructor for the 2025-2026 academic year to inspire our Kindergarten and 1st-grade students right here in beautiful Soldotna.

As our ideal candidate, you’ll be energetic and eager to learn alongside your students, with a genuine interest in teaching the foundational skills of reading, writing, and arithmetic. You will have the opportunity to guide young minds through the joys of a Christ-centered education, fostering a love of learning that goes beyond the classroom.

We value educators who inspire students to love learning for its own sake, who seek to know God more fully, and who wish to cultivate a nurturing community. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree, a minimum of two years of teaching experience, and an understanding of classical Christian education.

Imagine waking up every day to a breathtaking backdrop of Mount Redoubt, the Kenai River, and the rich wilderness that Alaska has to offer. Soldotna is not just a place to live; it’s a vibrant community where outdoor activities like fishing, hiking, cross-country skiing, and exploring nature become a part of your everyday life. If you love the outdoors, you’ll have endless opportunities to enjoy the stunning landscapes and wildlife just outside your door.

If you feel called to nurture the next generation of thinkers and leaders, we invite you to submit a cover letter detailing how your Christian faith influences your everyday life and how your experiences can enhance our vibrant learning environment.
