Communications & Membership Support Technician
Part-Time or Full-Time | Boise, ID | Salary Subject to Experience
The ACCS is seeking a competent and qualified person to join our membership team, managing affairs for our headquarters in Boise, Idaho. If you have skills for organization, communication, networking, attention to detail, and planning, and you want to serve in the movement of classical Christian education, then we’d love to hear from you.
Your Mission:
This dual role involves managing membership programs, including recruitment, retention, and engagement, while overseeing daily office operations in our Boise-based office. Responsibilities include processing membership applications & renewals, maintaining databases, coordinating event registration setup, and responding to member inquiries. As Office Manager, duties encompass scheduling, supply management, and ensuring a productive work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in Google suite and databases is ideal.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on key projects to maintain and increase member schools:
- Assistance on Membership Renewals
- Tracking renewal progress
- Invoicing schools, keeping track of fulfilled or missed payments
- Following up with unresponsive schools during and after renewals
- Creating bi-weekly reports during the two-month renewal campaign
- Creating an annual membership report for the board
- Creating mailing lists from our database software
- Curating accurate mailing lists for publications
- Maintaining and updating subscription lists for quarterly TCD mailings
- Pursuing ways to market and improve membership
- Membership Growth
- Assisting the executive leader on strategic growth initiatives
- Contacting prospective missionally aligned non-member schools
- Collaborate with team members to create campaigns
- Regular email or phone communication with prospective members
- Researching and vetting suitability of prospective schools for membership
- Interacting with and supporting Member Schools
- Fielding email & phone questions from prospective & established members
- Directing members to resources on the website & MRC
- Maintaining school info on website and in database
- Sending out Startup Kits
- Processing membership applications (including ICCA applications)
- Assistance in execution of membership events and products:
- Assisting in preparing and planning of the annual Repairing the Ruins conference (RTR):
- Tracking RTR Registration
- Assisting other team members with Vendors
- Attending and participating in key roles during the RTR event
- Regional Administrator Summits:
- Setting up and managing registration
- Applications to the Doctorum Program:
- Processing Applications and communicating with lead instructors
- Manage the Boise office headquarters in the following ways:
- Processing mail
- Processing check deposits at the bank
- Monthly deposit logs (working with bookkeeper)
- Answering general email and phone calls
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Classical Christian education (as a student, teacher, or administrator)
- Administrative and/or customer service experience recommended
- Acquired or existing knowledge of ACCS, needs of startup schools, needs of transitional schools, etc.
- Proficiency or ability to learn spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Excel, Numbers, etc.) and other Google Suite applications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
