Position Description

Renaissance Classical Christian School is looking to hire a headmaster for a small private school in Fayetteville NC.  The School Board is looking for qualified individuals to manage and administer the school in line with the stated philosophy and goals.  The headmaster’s responsibilities can be grouped into the following general areas:

1.     Overall organization and management (day-to-day operations, school programs, school calendar, orders supplies, and equipment).
2.     Financial management (oversees income and expenses, prepares annual budgets, and maintains timely and accurate accounting records).
3.     Oversees development and fund-raising efforts.
4.     Oversees promotional and public-relation efforts.
5.     Oversees facility maintenance/usage and coordinates plans for capital improvements.
6.     Maintains regular communication with the Board, implements Board policy, and works closely with the Board in hiring new staff.
7.     Maintains regular communication with parents.
8.     Provides leadership for the instructional and curricular programs (kindergarten through 12th grade) and develops plans for continued improvement and growth in these areas (includes teacher training).
9.     Maintain healthy faculty-staff relationships (conducts staff evaluations, provides staff with encouragement and opportunities for personal/professional growth, delegates responsibilities to appropriate staff, and maintains up-to-date Faculty/Staff Handbook).
10.  Maintain high standards of personal, spiritual, and professional conduct.

Qualifications
Knowledge of and a total commitment towards Classical Christian Education distinctives.
Great presentation and communication skills.
Solid interpersonal skills.
Ability to coach and inspire.
Experience administrating a private school preferred.
MA in education, teaching, administration or similar degree.
Compensation:
·       The job’s pay is commensurate with number of students in attendance in a given year.  Starting salary is $70,000.
