Position Description

Cair Paravel Latin School is seeking applicants for a Rhetoric School history teaching position. Cair Paravel Latin School is a PreK-12 classical Christian school in Topeka, KS. Founded in 1980 by a group of families inspired by their experience in the Integrated Humanities program at Kansas University and the writings of C.S. Lewis, CPLS seeks to cultivate classically trained, lifelong learners, committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, who will enrich their community and God’s kingdom.

Requirements for this position include:
Active in church and walk with the Lord
Agreement with CPLS Statement of Faith
Agreement with CPLS philosophy of education
Passion for educating young people
Energy and patience for dealing with young people
Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated expertise in subject areas
Prior teaching experience preferred.
Applicants should have an understanding of all major historical periods, but an emphasis on medieval and/or early modern history is preferred.
