Pay: $33.00 – $40.00 per hour, 20-22 Hours Per Week

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated classroom teacher at the K-2nd grade level to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned K-2 teacher, have experience teaching in a private or Christian school, and be a committed Christian who joyfully upholds the school’s mission and values. This position is for three days a week, Tuesday-Thursday, for one hour of class time each day.

Duties

Form students in their ability to use language well in conformity with the broader language goals of Grace Lutheran Academy.
Maintain open lines of communication with parents.
Maintain a positive Christ-like attitude and demeanor in the classroom, toward parents, and toward students.
Skills

The candidate is able to teach students unto fluency in the English language, mathematics, and the Bible.
The candidate is able to teach reading skills, writing, handwriting, and cursive.
The candidate is able to do all of this from a Christian perspective, readily able to tie in a broader Theology of language drawn from Scripture and Christian tradition.
The candidate is able to manage a classroom with learners at different levels and ages.
