Position Description
The Hunter School
Richmond, Virginia
Lower School Teacher – First Grade Opening
The Hunter School is seeking a First Grade teacher who loves the humble, beautiful work of the Lower School: teaching children to read carefully, form letters well, speak truthfully, attend quietly, number the world accurately, retell good stories, sing with confidence, and receive correction without losing cheer.
This is not a position for someone looking merely to manage a classroom or distribute worksheets. This is a position for teachers who believe that small habits become loves, that young children are capable of real intellectual delight, and that Christian formation happens through ordinary faithfulness repeated over time.
