CLASSIS Submissions

Submit an Article for Classis or Commonplace

Published three times per year, Classis is a journal promoting a new “old way” and is designed to edify, support, and encourage educators around the world who seek to recover classical Christian education in the twilight of the West.

The recovery of things old also brings a second sight, a new way of seeing the thing that was discarded. This is part of our mission at Classis. We are seeking Christian scholars who wish to edify others in the recovery of the “paideia of the Lord” and who also enjoy adding an eloquent voice to a “Great Conversation” that extends through time and space. We welcome the contributions of teachers and administrators who delight in the tradition of classical Christian learning, who are serious about incarnating the wisdom of the “old way,” and who wish to share their rediscoveries of that wisdom with the members and friends of the Association of Classical Christian Schools.

Classis is mailed to all member schools, and current and back issues are available and searchable online by our members on the Member Resource Center (MRC). Members can also request a personal copy.

Features and academic papers for Classis should include proper footnotes and citation (preferably in Chicago Style), and all submissions should include a short bio of the author.
