Position Description
Join our team of dedicated and skilled faculty, serving the Lord and the new generation! We are looking for someone to join our team as a part time Math (Geometry) and Science (Biology x2) teacher. Teachers qualified to teach Latin at a basic or intermediate level may teach another prep.
Compensation begins at $6,000 per class per year for this position (This job is for 3-4 classes depending on experience in Latin)

Job Description
This teacher will be able to explore and present the various fields of study within a subject to their students, helping them make meaningful connections. They will cultivate mathematical and/or science understanding, and love for God’s creation. The teacher will also contribute to the school by preparing solid lesson plans and maintaining an engaging teaching style. By incorporating animation, lecture, coaching, and facilitation, the teacher will actively engage students in the learning process. Additionally, the teacher will design curricula tailored to both the subject and each student’s individual needs. With a loving approach to discipline, the teacher will effectively manage the classroom, fostering a positive and productive learning environment. Through effective communication, encouragement, and loving sacrifice, the teacher will serve both the students and their families.

Give timely feedback on academic progress
Notify parents of discipline and other issues in the classroom
Duties/Responsibilities
Create an annual mapping for all courses of instruction
Submit weekly lesson plans
Consistently assess students for progress through approved means
Study all material deeply to become a “living curriculum”
Facilitate deep study of various subjects in the classroom
Animate material to engage students
Coach students in a tailored approach to education, helping them invest the talent God has given
Enter grades within 48 hours for timely feedback
Attend all designated faculty meetings and training sessions
Observe struggling students and make recommendations to the head of school for suggested learning goals
Foster a well-ordered atmosphere through classroom discipleship
Maintain a well-organized classroom
Ensure students are active learners both mentally and physically.
Qualifications
A heart for the Gospel

A robust background in humanities and or willingness to study intentionally
A deep understanding of number relationships
A love of God’s creation that is communicated effectively
A desire to train and equip the next generation
A natural intuition in the classroom
Flexibility in delivery methods.
Ability to lead a small classroom in a loving and disciplined manner.
Ability to patiently mentor through discipleship
*Classical Liberal Arts Education or equivalent experience
*Applicants who do not have a robust Liberal Arts Education are welcome to apply but must be willing to engage in rigorous training to prepare for the first academic year.
