Position Description

Classical Christian Academy, an ACCS-accredited school in North Idaho, seeks outstanding teachers for our Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric programs.

We welcome applications for all grade levels and for the 25/26 school year are specifically seeking:
• Rhetoric Level Science, Math, and Humanities
• Lower and Upper Grammar (1st, 5th)

The ideal candidate for these positions will be well-versed in classical methods and classroom management, have excellent organizational and communication skills, and have the ability to interact well with students, parents, faculty, and administrators. Moreover, all CCA teachers serve as shepherds of our students, advising them in their walk with Jesus Christ.

This is a full-time position that includes health and retirement benefit options.

About the school:
Classical Christian Academy is a Pre-K through 12 independent, classical Christian school that has served North Idaho and Eastern Washington communities for nearly 30 years. The school is located 10 minutes north of beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene between several growing communities.

Responsibilities
• Teaching through the prescribed curricula for a specified grade
• Administer lessons in a manner that inspires student engagement and learning
• Prepare a yearly scope and sequence
• Turn in weekly lesson plans
• Attend weekly staff meetings
• Maintain an organized and beautiful classroom that inspires learning
• Instructs clearly and provides timely feedback
• Update the grading system weekly
• Communicates regularly and clearly with parents to assist them in their roles as spiritual and academic mentors
• Uphold academic and behavioral standards.

Qualifications
• Fully support and abide by the school’s Statement of Faith
• Committed to the historic Christian faith and display a desire to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ continually.
• Possess a passion for and exhibit academic strength in their fields, at least 3 years of experience is preferred.
• Demonstrate a commitment to classical, Christian education either through college coursework, experience, or other discipline compatible with classical, Christian curriculum.
• A four-year degree, a Master’s Degree or a credential is preferred.
