Grammar School Teacher

Position Description

We are seeking to fill several positions at our growing and expanding classical Christian school in Clarksburg, WV. Our grammar school teachers are responsible for teaching every subject, with Memoria Press forming the spine of our curriculum.

We believe in forming the soul toward Christ through the Great Books and liberal arts. At the grammar stage, this starts with learning to how to read, and then reading great children’s literature (Aesop’s Fables, Flat Stanley, King Arthur, etc.). We will be starting Latin in 2nd grade next year.

This is an opportunity to contribute to building a classical Christian school and culture. While our school is over 50 years old, we began our transition to classical in 2021. We gravitate toward a Charlotte Mason twist in our approach to classical Christian education.

We are a church-run school in the Baptist tradition (London Baptist Confession of Faith). Teachers may come from any branch of biblically faithful Christianity and are not required to attend our parent church.
