Upper School Humanities Teacher

Position Description

Greenleaf Friends Academy is a thriving classical Christian school in rural Idaho, 30 miles west of Boise in the scenic Treasure Valley. Founded in 1908, GFA is seeking a humanities teacher to join our growing faculty team. The ideal candidate will have a vibrant and observable faith in the Lord Jesus, a passion for disciplining students, a demonstrably love of learning, the ability to inspire students to pursue excellence, and a willingness to learn more about classical Christian education and implement classical methodologies into their own classroom instruction. Any candidate must be open to teaching according to an integrated approach to the humanities – history, literature, theology, art, music, philosophy, etc. – and must show a desire to part of our school community. This particular opening would favor a candidate with a love for the English language and a passion for teaching writing and composition to young people. A bachelor’s degree in history, literature, philosophy, English, or a related field is required, and a graduate degree is preferred.
