Upper School Humanities

Position Description

Greenleaf Friends Academy is seeking a humanities teacher to join our faculty team. The ideal candidate will have a vibrant and observable faith in the Lord Jesus, a passion for discipling students, a demonstrable love of learning, the ability to inspire students to pursue excellence, and a willingness to learn more about classical Christian education and implement classical methodologies into their own classroom instruction. Any candidate must be open to teaching according to an integrated approach to the humanities – history, literature, theology, art, music, philosophy, etc. – and must show a desire to be part of our school community. A bachelor’s degree in history, literature, philosophy, theology, or a related field is required. Special consideration will be given to candidates with a background in theology and/or divinity. State certification is not required but is considered.

Greenleaf Friends Academy is located in the tranquil western end of the Idaho’s scenic Treasure Valley. Founded in 1908, the Academy is surrounded by the majestic Snake River Valley, home to beautiful fields, rolling hills, and the Owyhee Mountains.
