Position Summary
Immanuel Classical School seeks a founding Head of School to lead the launch and development of a classical Christian school in Bend, Oregon. The Head of School will serve as the chief executive and educational leader, responsible for cultivating a distinctly Christ-centered culture, advancing the school’s mission, and forming a community of faculty, students, and families aligned around a shared vision of education under the Lordship of Christ.

Key Responsibilities
Spiritual & Cultural Leadership

Model a vibrant Christian faith rooted in historic orthodoxy
Cultivate a culture of joyful rigor, courage, and conviction
Ensure all aspects of the school reflect its Christ-centered mission
Academic Leadership

Implement a classical curriculum that forms wisdom and virtue
Lead, hire, and develop faculty committed to classical pedagogy
Integrate all subjects under the truth of God’s revealed order
Operational Leadership

Oversee day-to-day school operations and systems
Partner with the Board to execute long-term vision and sustainability
Lead enrollment and growth efforts
Family & Community Engagement

Build strong partnerships with families in the discipleship of their children
Serve as the public face of the school in the Bend community
Clearly and compellingly communicate the mission and vision

Qualifications
A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and agreement with historic Christian doctrine
Deep conviction that education is not neutral but is ordered under the Lordship of Christ
Alignment with a philosophy of education that emphasizes the formation of wisdom, virtue, and the whole person
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
A love for students and a passion for Christian formation

Preferred Experience
Experience in classical Christian education
Familiarity with ACCS philosophy and model
Leadership experience in a school or mission-driven organization
