Position Description

Based in Teton County, Wyoming, the Jackson Hole Classical Academy seeks an experienced management professional with a passion for building healthy organizations to oversee all administrative functions for the school.  These include Accounting and Finance, Facility Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, Admissions and Development.  As a K-12 school dedicated to a Christian, classical liberal arts education, we seek a candidate committed to further our mission who is strongly committed to Christian faith and values.

With a dedicated Board of Directors, team of faculty and staff, and student body from across the nation, Jackson Hole Classical Academy offers both a close-knit community and an enterprising, diverse, and energetic workplace.  The school has underway a major campus facility expansion that will provide a state of the art building and grounds for over 200 students, opening in 2025.

Education and/or Experience

Minimum Bachelor’s degree required, Masters degree preferred, including:

At least 5-8 years demonstrated successful management experience with Classical Christian Schools, Charter Schools  or Public and Private School Systems.
Technical proficiency with accounting systems such as Quickbooks, HR information tools, tuition management tools, fundraising management tools and Microsoft business applications.
Superior ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

JOB OVERVIEW

This position oversees all of the administrative functions of the school through a team of internal staff and outsourced services, suited to our school with 130 students.  The Director will report directly to the Headmaster/Head of School and support the educational mission of the school. Responsibilities include:

Accounting and Finance:

Overseeing all financial management functions including:

Budget development and accountability

Tuition development and financial aid
Accounting system development and periodic operations and tax reporting
Financial analysis in support of strategic and operating decisions
Campus construction accounting, financing and adherence to construction plans
Banking relationships and external financial requirements
Management of outsourced accounting/financial services

Facility Operations:

Overseeing the current school facilities and grounds and managing the opening of the new campus buildings in 2025, including:

Acquisition, maintenance, cleaning and operation of all campus facilities, equipment, vehicles, athletic fields and surrounding grounds
Planning for the completion and opening of the new campus buildings in 2025
Development and operation of kitchen and lunch food service
Develop, maintain and upgrade as appropriate all school communication and information systems, support and training
Compliance with all Federal, State and Local facility health and safety codes

Human Resources:

Oversee the school’s human resources/people services programs and staff support, including:

Develop, manage and revise as appropriate the school’s compensation and benefit programs to ensure equitable treatment, competitive offerings and legal compliance
Ensure timely recruitment and acquisition of faculty and staff appropriate for the experience, skills and numbers needed for the school’s size and curriculum
Establish and manage faculty and staff training and professional development programs to ensure the personal and professional growth of the school’s employees
Manage faculty and staff on-boarding, conflict resolution and departures through effective employee orientation, training, mediation and communication
Maintain confidential and compliant employment records of all faculty and staff
Assist school leadership in developing organizational and staffing changes need to support school growth and development

 

Marketing/Admissions/Development:

Leading and providing strategic oversight of all marketing, admissions, and development for Jackson Hole Classical Academy.   These functions are critical t for attracting new families and students, building community support for our programs and raising funds to support capital, endowment and operating needs, including:

Develop and manage effective communication and marketing tools describing the school’s programs and academic success
Develop and manage effective admissions and family recruitment program that supports growth in the school’s enrollment
Develop and manage an effective development program to expand the school’s current fundraising efforts for capital projects, endowment and tuition assistance and operations
