Elementary School Long Term Substitute

Position Description

Jackson Hole Classical Academy seeks a long-term substitute for fourth grade. Familiarity with Charlotte Mason’s approach to habit formation is preferred. Experience with Spalding Phonics and Singapore math is also preferred.

The curriculum of JH Classical academy is in the classical liberal arts tradition. The Academy believes that each student is created in the image and likeness of God and that the pursuit of truth always begins with a sense of wonder. As educators, we seek “to cultivate within our students the wisdom and virtue necessary to discover and fulfill their God-given potential and contribute to a flourishing and free society.” The Academy seeks passionate teachers who provide intellectually rigorous instruction, attend to the formation of good habits in students, and contribute to a joyful atmosphere in and out of the classroom. Jackson Hole, gateway to both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, is visually stunning and offers an unsurpassed quality of life. Recreation opportunities abound. The attractiveness of Jackson makes housing difficult to find, so the Academy assists incoming employees in that search.

The opening will be during the final trimester of the 22–23 school year. Long term substitutes will be considered as candidates for permanent positions.
