Position Description
Jackson Hole Classical Academy seeks an instructor to teach Latin at a variety of levels ranging from upper elementary to AP. Ideal candidates will be skilled Latinists familiar with classical pedagogy and be able to teach elementary, middle, and high school Latin. The ability to teach subjects other than Latin is also preferred.
An ideal Latin Teacher candidate will have the following skills, credentials, and expertise:
· Mastery of the Latin Language
· Mastery of age-appropriate pedagogical techniques
· Knowledge of the Latin tradition in the ancient, medieval, and modern periods
· Strong classroom management skills
· A desire and ability to cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues, students, and families
Experience with Charlotte Mason’s approach to habit formation is preferred.
