Advancement Director

Position Description

Essential Functions:
• Communicate the vision and mission of JECA
• Be accountable and report to the Board as the ones who have the fiduciary responsibility for the school
• Represent the school to the community, both inside and out
• Build relationships with parents and other family members of the students
• Steward relationships with area churches, businesses, and other schools
• Establish and grow relationships with donors encouraging them in their stewardship
• Keep records of donors and giving through Donor Perfect
• Works closely with the Headmaster to set a direction for the school’s fundraising, which includes identifying priorities, policies, strategies, and tactics to advance non-tuition revenue like unrestricted giving as well as restricted gifts to support curricular, educational, and capital projects
• Responsible for the coordination of all fundraising activities, including identification and care for prospective donors, including relationship cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship; methods of funding include annual giving, planned giving, special events, cryptocurrency, major gifts, sponsorship/partnerships, etc
• Serve as a member of the school’s Executive Team
