6-8 Science Teacher

Position Description

Lighthouse Christian Academy is seeking a part-time science teacher for 6-8th grade logic-level students. The teacher must be able to conduct a well-ordered classroom and teach the fundamentals of science.  The science teacher must have a background in teaching life science, earth science, and physical science. The teacher must lead students through effective laboratory skills, conduct experiments aimed at understanding, and provide oversight and leadership of a school-wide science fair.  The candidate must demonstrate a vibrant Christian faith and a desire to shepherd students spiritually through prayer and encouragement. Lighthouse Christian Academy is a Pre-K through 8th grade school located on Kent Island on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. We have a student body of 100 students and a vibrant, collegial staff culture.
