Position Description

SCIENCE AND CHEMISTRY TEACHER FOR 2026-27

Mars Hill Academy seeks a qualified, full-time upper school Science and Chemistry teacher beginning August 2026.

Applicants should hold at least a master’s degree in chemistry or a related field and display the “four loves”: a love for Christ, a love for students, a love for the subject area, and a love of classical education. Priority will be placed on applicants with prior teaching experience in a classical Christian school and who can implement the characteristics of a classical education, the integration of Christian faith and learning, and the ability to show how God’s character is revealed through the study of Chemistry, and science in general. Candidates should have experience teaching chemistry and related math, and a willingness/ability to teach in other disciplines, such as biology or physics. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, Christ-centered educator whose passion and expertise as a lifelong learner is a model to inspire and engage students.
