Art Teacher

Position Description

Naperville Christian Academy (NCA) has a fully developed art program for ages Preschool through 12th grade.  We would like to hire someone that desires to continue the great foundation that has been set in educating our students to bring glory to God through art and to illuminate the ways that art reflects various cultures and historical eras.

NCA has been educating students grades Preschool – 12th for over 20 years in the western suburbs of Chicago.  We are a tight knit – passionate – creative – and exceedingly motivated group of educators and administrators brought together by our shared love of Christ and the pursuit of the good, the true, and the beautiful.

The art teacher is responsible for:

·       Teaching our students the elements of art and the principles of design

·       Training our students in the basics of drawing as well as other mediums

·       Guiding our students to observe and appreciate the great works of art by the masters

·       Collaborating with teachers to integrate art lessons with classroom topics

·       Providing electives for our Upper School students (6th – 12th)

·       Arranging Art Shows of student work for the Christmas Concert and Recitation Night
