Grammar Teacher – 3rd-4th Grade

Position Description

Paideia Christian Academy is seeking a Christ-centered elementary teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. This teacher will guide grammar-stage students in a 3rd-4th grade combination class in subjects such as reading, writing, mathematics, history, science, introductory Latin, and the arts, helping them grow in both wisdom and virtue through a classical Christian education.

We are looking for someone who loves the Lord, delights in working with children, and is eager to partner with families in the discipleship and education of their students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cultivating a joyful love of learning and helping students see all of life through the lens of God’s truth.

This position is full-time, Monday-Thursday.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging lessons that faithfully advance the school’s classical Christian curriculum and support student mastery of essential knowledge and skills.
• Cultivate a classroom culture marked by joy, order, diligence, and respect, grounded in a distinctly Christian worldview.
• Employ sound instructional practices appropriate to the developmental needs of grammar-stage students.
• Assess student learning regularly and thoughtfully, using that information to guide instruction and support student growth.
• Maintain regular and constructive communication with parents regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for growth.
• Establish and uphold classroom expectations consistent with the school’s philosophy, policies, and standards of conduct.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress, and submit required reports in a timely manner.
• Participate fully in the life of the school through faculty meetings, professional development, and other required events.
• Provide appropriate supervision of students throughout the school day, both in and outside the classroom.
• Promote the safety, well-being, and flourishing of students while maintaining an orderly and productive learning environment.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• A vibrant, professing faith in Jesus Christ and active membership in a Bible-believing local church
• Wholehearted agreement with Paideia Christian Academy’s Statement of Faith and Mission
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to nurture and instruct young children with patience, warmth, and authority
• Ability to pass a background check.
