Lower School Teacher

Position Description

The Ideal candidate will:

• Be committed to the Protestant Tradition and active in their local church community.
• Be well-versed in the Classical Christian tradition.
• Education proper to their field of teaching
• Education in the classical humanities

Additional (though not required) ideals would include

• Attendance at a Classical Protestant Church
• Be able to hold conversations on things like classical music, literature, theology, fine wine, and proper manners.

Minimum Requirements

The Candidate Must:

• Either have experience in Classical Education or be willing to learn how to teach according to classical paradigms
• Demonstrate the ability to manage a classroom
• Lead discussions of an age-appropriate nature

 

 

 

We are looking for additional teachers, teaching assistants, and substitutes for our K-12th grade classes. Our classes are structured as follows:

 

K – 2nd Grade:K – 2nd Grade Class Time: 8:15 am – 12:00 pm
Teacher’s Hours: 8:00 am – 12:15 pm

3rd – 12th Grade:

3rd – 12th Grade Class Time: 8:15 am – 3:15 pm
Teacher’s Hours: 8:00 am – 3:30 pm

 

Compensation:

Range: $15/hour – $26/hour
Employment Contract for academic year 2024-2025 July 1, 2024 – May 3, 2025
Employment Contract for academic year 2025-2026 June 1, 2025 – May 4, 2026

Class Schedule:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
Time: 8:15 am – 3:15 pm
Teachers’ Hours: 8:00 am – 3:30 pm
Duration: 30 weeks
First Day: Tuesday, August 13th, 2024, or August 12th, 2025
Last Day: Friday, April 25th, 2025, or April 24th, 2026
