Head of School – Point Christian Academy

Position Description

The Head of School will be in charge of all day to day operations of the school and working with the board to develop the strategy need to accomplish the goals of Point Christian Academy, a small but rapidly growing Classical Christian School located in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The HOS duties shall include, but not be be limited to, pre-qualifying and hiring all staff, overseeing financial matters, maintaining staff, and all day-to-day administrative duties.

He or she may be assisted in the administration of the school by an administrative staff of assistants, preschool director, and teachers who report to the HOS.  In general, their function will be defined by the Head of School in light of the responsibilities and needs of the school.

Primary Qualifications 

1) In faith, the candidate must be a born again Christian and must submit a written copy of his/her personal testimony professing faith in Jesus Christ as his/her Savor

2) Believe that the Bible is the true word of God.

Education, the candidate for HOS shall ideally’

1) Have at minimum a master’s degree, preferably from a Christian institution;

2) Have experience as a school administrator;

3) Have a passion for or a willingness to learn Classical Christian Education.
