Student Support Coordinator
Position Description
The Student Support Coordinator is responsible for planning implementing, and overseeing the student support program. The coordinator will track student academic progress, coordinate student accommodations, conduct meetings with teachers and parents to create Student Support Plans and provide training and collaboration with the staff to better support students in the classroom. The coordinator will also provide direct support to individual students as needed. The position requires an educator who is a mature Christian who loves teaching and shepherding children. He or she should be a person who is personable, organized, and committed to providing a caring support system for students in their classrooms where their minds, hearts, and souls are cultivated and nurtured.

Essential Functions
Implement a school-wide approach to providing academic support
Provide one-on-one support for students as needed
Observe students in class to help identify struggles that students may be having
Administer the WIST, DIBELS, Gloss and Ikan Numeracy Test and fluency testing
Create a Student Support Plan with input from teachers and parents
Make recommendations for those who need further testing or tutoring
Interpret psychological-educational testing to identify academic needs
Determine best accommodations for students who need support
Monitor the progress of students and make adjustments to the SSP as needed
Train and support teachers and teacher’s aides how best to implement accommodations
Assist administrators in evaluating prospective students who may require additional support
Serve as a liaison between parents, students, and faculty
Provide resources for teachers and parents
Schedule: Flexible with standard school breaks throughout the year
