4th Grade Teacher

Position Description

Potomac Classical is a classical, Christian, collaborative school six miles from the White House overlooking the Potomac River in the city of Alexandria, Virginia.

We are adding additional sections in our Lower School, we need additional 2nd and 4th grade teachers! (We also need additional Classroom Aides to support the homeroom teachers.)

Both the 2nd and 4th grade teachers provide classroom instruction to students in language arts, math, history, science and beginning Latin. The teacher guides students through the routines, procedures, classes, and tasks of the school day. The position requires an educator who is a mature Christian who loves teaching and shepherding children. He or she should be a person who is personable, organized, and committed to providing a caring and engaging learning environment in which students’ minds, hearts, and souls are cultivated and nurtured.

We aim to invest in the lives of our students, partnering with families to nurture the seeds of wisdom and faith that will help them bear fruit for a lifetime.

Teacher Salaries: $40-60k and BCBS health benefits commensurate with experience. (3 days in the classroom / 2 days at home!)
