Grammar School Teacher (Kindergarten)

Position Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Teaching at Providence Academy is a rewarding experience where you will be part of a team dedicated to making an impact in the lives of students. A teacher’s primary responsibility entails the development and implementation of curriculum.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and implement instruction for students.
Communicate with parents regarding the progress of the student (academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually).
Utilize effective classroom management skills for implementing lessons and maintaining respectful behavior.
Shepherd students’ hearts and minds by providing biblical, gospel-filled instruction, correction, and encouragement.
Monitor and evaluate students’ participation and progress and communicate that with parents through written report cards and through conversations as needed.
Work collaboratively with grade-level teaching team.
Participate in faculty meetings and in the overall life and community of the school.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a solid knowledge of the skills and subjects being taught.
Understands foundational elements of classical education.
Diligent worker; life-long learner; clear communicator.
A mature Christian faith, displayed in godly conduct, firm personal convictions, and charity towards different but historically orthodox positions.
An enjoyment of being with children.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree
3-5 years of field experience
