Principal / Dean of Students

Position Description

Seattle Classical Christian School is the only classical Christian school in the city limits of Seattle.  We are prayerfully searching for an Upper School Principal (player / coach) who would join a faculty of brothers and sisters in Christ who are committed to professional excellence, providing academic and cultural leadership to faculty, students, and parents in the Middle and Upper Schools.
The ideal candidate is willing to serve in this leadership position as they help teachers grow in skill and love of teaching, and a firm commitment to exploring the liberal arts tradition with teachers of young men and women students. The Principal would join an educational leadership team comprised of a full-time Head of School and a Dean of Curriculum / lower school Principal.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher. Administrative experience in a Christian classical school is preferred but not required. The new Principal player / coach should demonstrate:
– A mature and maturing walk with Christ
– A track record of serving at church.
– A thorough understanding of classical pedagogy
– A teachable spirit
– A servant’s heart.
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
– A strong understanding of Christian worldview integration.
– A commitment to SCCS’s Statement of Faith, Mission, Values, and Pillars
