Position Description

Seattle Classical Christian School (SCCS) is the only classical Christian School within the city limits of Seattle, Washington. Seattle is wonderfully beautiful and at the same time very spiritually dark. Is the Lord calling you to minister with us in this challenging and rewarding ministry? SCCS is looking for Grammar School faculty (K – 6th).

Expectations for:

All Applicants
–Love Jesus and are regular church attenders
–Agree with and adhere to the SCCS Statement of Faith 
–Have a college degree
–Desire to serve in an educational ministry
–See themselves as people who can contribute to a team, flexibly and joyfully
–Possess a willingness to grow as a classical Christian teacher

Exceptional Applicants – All the above characteristics and:
–Have earned a degree in Elementary Education
–Are experienced in teaching in a classroom setting
–Have passion for classical pedagogy

Ideal Applicant – All the above characteristics and:
–Has experience teaching at a classical Christian school
–Has used Math in Focus and Spelling to Read to Write
–Lives in the Seattle, WA area
