Grammar School Teacher

Position Description

*Creatively prepare daily lessons according to The Cor Deo School’s assigned course content
*Writes weekly lesson plans that outline lesson objective, content, and student assessment
*Actively instruct students toward content mastery, and when content mastery is not achieved, works to help students understand key concepts
*Monitor student progress through weekly assignments and tests
*Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs
*Grade and return student work/tests in a timely fashion
*Positively participates with other teachers and staff in a way that fosters teamwork
*Communicates and enforce expectations for behavior and procedures for maintaining order in the classroom
*Builds student relationships inside and outside of the classroom
*Regularly communicates with parents and administrators regarding student progress and behavior
*Maintains a physical classroom that is both organized and visually appealing
*Performs other related duties as assigned
*Nurture and support students in their growing faith, knowledge of the Bible, and relationship with Christ and others.

Grammar School Teacher report directly to the Head of School.
