Upper School Science Teacher

Position Description

Westminster Academy, a JK-12th grade classical, Christian school in Memphis, TN, is growing and seeks a full-time Upper School Science teacher, starting August 2022, to teach Life Science and Earth Science, and to help the other science teachers with Science Olympiad. Applicants should hold at least a bachelor’s degree in a related field, display a great passion for the sciences and should be able to cultivate a love for them within students. Priority will be placed on applicants with prior teaching experience and who can implement the hallmarks of a classical education—Socratic teaching, the integration of subjects and the integration of Christian faith and learning with the ability to show how the sciences reveal the nature and character of God. The applicant must also possess a love of students and a passion for mentoring and discipleship. Westminster Academy is committed to teaching all truth as God’s truth through the lens of Scripture and a Christian worldview.
