Pitfalls Plaguing Good Hearted Boards: During his tenure as ACCS President, David Goodwin has seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of board governance in classical Christian schools. This 90-minute session will lead you to understand how to identify and avoid common mistakes that well intended board members often make.

The Ambrose School Governing Documents: Dr. Yenor will share and walk through the governing documents used by the school board of The Ambrose School in Meridian, ID. During this 90-minute session there will be roundtable discussions and Q and A to ensure school leaders learn, grow, and go home as stronger leaders.

Seven Responsibilities of a Christian School Board: Master the foundational responsibilities of a school board through lessons, roundtable discussions, and self-evaluation worksheets. The practical learning and discussions during this 90-minute session can be easily followed and reviewed with your board every year to strengthen your board and give your school a firm foundation.

Socratic Teaching and Discussion: Dive into the world of socratic teaching. Attendees will engage in the Socratic Dialog process in all three of the 90 minute sessions in the track. Learn lessons, engage in learning discussion, and participate in “meta-discussions” about the Socratic discussions. These three 90-minute sessions are sure to be a transformational experience.
