Providence Classical School is a classical Christian school that strives to train students to be leaders who think and act in ways that bring glory to God. Our advanced curriculum is provided to all students and is designed to give them an education of academic excellence that prepares them for any life endeavor. Our students excel at math and science, while also mastering rhetorical skills of writing and speaking, while studying the Great Books of classic literature.

The community at PCS is comprised of committed Christian parents and is supported by a foundation of four major tenets that make us distinct. First is our biblical base that provides an environment where students can grow in their Christian faith. Second is the recognition of parental responsibility/headship as we partner with parents in education. Third, PCS is committed to protecting the moral innocence of our students by allowing them to remain appropriately naïve to certain topics. Fourth, PCS stresses the value and worth of all people and encourages students to put others before self. Our teachers partner with parents to raise and educate children to love and serve the Lord wherever He places them.

Our school is located on the oldest school site in the state of Alabama. Our building is a historic one, built in 1937, and is one of the few remaining Art Deco structures in the area. The surrounding neighborhood places great value on the site remaining a school and warmly welcomed PCS into the neighborhood when we purchased the building in 2013. We often invite our neighbors to events such as a pancake breakfast, our annual classical stage production, and our Living Nativity on the front lawn each Christmas.

Providence Classical School serves families in beautiful north Alabama in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The school is located in Huntsville, also known as The Rocket City because of the heavy aerospace industry presence, including the Space and Rocket Center. Our area boasts four seasons with proximity to mountains, lakes, and rivers, along with one of the most highly educated populations in the country.
